Feiste Stulle with camembert, caramelized apple and mango chutney. So delicious and ready to feast in 5 minutes.
S o dear ones. How did you feel about the summer? I think we are all very happy that the thermometer not shows 35 degrees more every day, right ?! Alone, because the appetite and fun of eating and cooking in these incredible temperatures somehow did not really want to arise. Here often the kitchen was completely cold. Sitting 30 centimeters in front of the rattling fan and sucking on a chilled salad lettuce ... no nee nee.
All the better that we now (finally) have more appetite for a hearty appetizer! How about, for example, this vegetarian stew with Camembert, caramelized apple and mango chuntey? Good bread, a few crisp-sweet apples, aromatic melting cheese - and in no time a delicious meal is on the table for feasting ... tadaaa:
Even if I can scare the man again and again a bit: Fruit in the Food is a hit and often brings with it the deciding flavor. And even with this stall, the enthusiasm was then really great and the plate ratzfatz empty. The warm apples with a hint of spicy chutney on the spicy, creamy cheese ... hmmm.
In terms of taste, apples are a true all-rounder - not just on the cake. Even otherwise: In addition to the vitamins B, C and E, they bring with them nutrients such as potassium, sodium, magnesium, calcium and iron. In addition, they are rich in fiber and have a lower glycemic index due to their fructose content than e.g. pure table sugar. So perfect to add a fresh, sweet and fruity note to your meal.
For my sumptuous casserole with Camembert, caramelized apple and mango chunks, I sliced crisp JAZZ ™ apples into slices, simply with a touch of sugar in the pan caramelized and then glazed with some Chuntey. Especially with the sweetness of this apple variety a fantastic taste experience! If you do not know JAZZ ™ apples yet, they are a natural hybrid of the better-known Royal Gala and Braeburn apples, combining the best of both. Crunchy, sweet and juicy, they are not only a natural snack if you feel like something sweet. They also go surprisingly well with savory dishes. Let yourself be surprised!
So - ready for the casserole?
